Learning That Lasts
At Anna's House, we believe real learning happens when children are actively engaged, not passively sitting. Our approach is grounded in research on how kids actually learn best, but it's brought to life through the relationships and experiences that make school meaningful.
What Makes Our Approach Different:
We Lead with Empathy
Before we teach reading or math, we teach children how to understand themselves and others. Our morning meetings aren't just routines, they're where kids learn to name their emotions, listen deeply, and build the social-emotional skills that will serve them for life.
Learning Is Hands-On
Studying ecosystems? We're digging in the garden. Exploring history? We'll act it out. When kids experience concepts with their whole bodies and senses, learning moves from abstract to unforgettable.
Small Matters
With up to 8-12 kids per teacher, we can differentiate in real time. The child who needs extra support in reading gets it. The one who's ready to dive deeper into a topic isn't held back. Every student's learning plan is as unique as they are.
We Honor the Whole Child
Academic growth matters. So, does knowing how to be a good friend, persevere through hard things, and believe in yourself. We're teaching the whole person, not just filling in worksheets.
