Early Childhood Education at Anna’s House
At Anna’s House, we are committed to providing high-quality care and education in a nurturing environment shaped by Christian values. Our passionate and experienced faculty prioritizes the needs of both children and families—offering a meaningful partnership built on trust, love, and shared purpose.
We celebrate the rich backgrounds, cultures, and experiences that each child and family brings to our community. Our program embraces diversity with intention—fostering respect, inclusion, and belonging within every classroom. We believe that children grow best when they are seen, heard, and valued for who they truly are.
Our early childhood approach integrates best practices through:
A welcoming, faith-informed foundation
Project-based learning that sparks curiosity and exploration
Individualized attention that honors each child’s unique identity and strengths
Rooted in love and respect, our curriculum supports growth across all domains: Academic, Social, Spiritual, and Physical, while intentionally incorporating cultural awareness and family collaboration. We strive to create joyful, enriching experiences that affirm every child’s story and empower them as confident, compassionate learners.
Our Foundation: Building a Community of Learning and Growth
Anna’s House School began as a heartfelt vision, sparked by a deep commitment to children, families, and the power of community-based education. Founded on February 15, 2019, it was built not just as a school, but as a home for curiosity, kindness, and growth. The founding team believed that children flourish when surrounded by educators who nurture their emotional development as much as their academic success, and that belief became the cornerstone of everything to come.
After months of dreaming, planning, and building relationships, Anna’s House officially opened its doors on September 8, 2020. The inaugural year welcomed families into a space designed to feel both safe and imaginative; a place where meaningful learning is paired with joy, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Our campus is located within the grounds of the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind (VSDB), with whom we maintain a valued lease partnership. This location provides Anna’s House with exceptional campus security and infrastructure. Thanks to VSDB’s professional security staff and 24/7 monitoring, families can trust that students are learning in an environment that is not only warm and enriching, but also extremely safe and protected.
Since our founding, we’ve remained steadfast in our mission: to foster curiosity, emotional intelligence, and lifelong learning through a culture rooted in respect and community. As we grow, we honor those early days; when vision became reality, and a school was born out of hope, love, and dedication to every child’s journey.
